My perceptions of Black White

Black and White. Two absolutely different colors in which, both of them have their own definition/description, similarities, differences, and even symbols. Let's start with their definitions. White projects purity, cleanliness and it aids mental clarity. For black, some people think that it is only the sign of misery, sorrow, anger, evil, and other negative things when really, black is also powerful; because it can evoke strong emotions too much, it can be overwhelming.

Next, let's go to their similarities and differences. If we look at their physical appearance, their contradiction is very visible. And they are alike in a way that they can blend in and mix with almost any color. For short, they are flexible and adaptive.

So what are the connection of these things about black and white to us humans? Since it is seen today that there is discrimination or hatred based on race or what we called, "racism" it is vital for us to stop this. Even in movies and in films often, it is clearly shown that the black people (mostly Africans) are the ones who are bullied, treated differently, and hurt. We can prevent racism if we stop discriminating other people, treating them fairly/equally, and accepting and loving them. Like I said a while ago, black and white can blend in with almost any color, like us, whatever our color is, we can still communicate and mix in with other nations. And whatever our clan/lineage is, God made us all. Meaning, we are all the same in his eyes either we are black or white.

Here are some quotes about saying no/being against racism:

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
- Martin Luther king, Jr.

"In order to get beyond racism, we must first take account of race. There is no other way. And in order to treat some persons equally, we must treat them differently."
- Harry A. Blackmun

To end this, I would like you to listen and understand the lyrics of this song entitled "Black or White" by Michael Jackson. So with that, thank you for reading! I hoped that you realize and learned something out of this blog. Once again, thank you and Live Jesus! :)
